Natural Shetland fleece colours: Mogit light brown body on a pebble grey / fawn warp, with a subtle Opal and Clematis stripe.
This traditional lap blanket drapes comfortably over knees or shoulders. 60 inch long by 31 inch wide (150 x 80cm).
The yarn is a blend of pure native Shetland Lambswool and superfine Geelong, spun in Sandness in Scotland’s Shetland Isles. Earthy natural tones named after traditional Shetland fleece colours, a subtle matching stripe and classic honeycomb weave give these comfortable lap blankets their unique look and feel. They are made to last and stay with the family for years. Soft and light, warm and tactile, they are quite difficult to let go of!
All made by hand in Avonbridge, Scotland. Each piece is woven and hem-stitched on the 24-shaft hand loom, then individually hand-washed and finished.
Made in small batches of 15 or so, every piece is unique. If the one you like has already been sold or if you have a particular colour-way in mind, please get in touch and we can try and work something into the next batch.
